Choosing a Service Format That Actually Fits
When you start looking for a supplier of ergonomic furniture for your child's study area, the first thing you notice is how many options exist. Some offer a full in-home assessment, others work remotely with measurements you send, and a few simply sell the product with a generic guide. The question is not which one sounds more professional, but which one matches your actual situation.
We work with three service formats, and each one suits a different set of constraints. The first is a scheduled visit to your home. A technician brings samples of the KID-200 chair and the FlexiDesk Pro, takes measurements of the room and the child, and adjusts the furniture on site. This format works best if you have a dedicated study space and want to see the product before committing. The downside is availability: we cover a limited radius around our warehouse, and the visit takes about 90 minutes.
The second format is remote guidance. You receive a detailed measurement sheet and a video call appointment. During the call, we walk you through the adjustments and help you decide between the SpaceMax organizer configurations or the tilt angle for the FlexiDesk Pro. This option is faster and works for families outside our service area, but it requires you to have a tape measure and a stable internet connection. It also means you handle the assembly yourself, though the instructions are straightforward and we stay on the line until you finish.
The third format is the simplest: you buy the product online and receive a printed setup guide. No call, no visit. This is the right choice if you already know the dimensions of your room and have experience with similar furniture. The tradeoff is that you lose the personalized adjustment, which matters for the lumbar support on the KID-200. If the chair is set too high or too low, the ergonomic benefit drops significantly.
Most clients choose the remote guidance because it balances convenience and precision. The measurement sheet takes about 15 minutes to fill, and the video call lasts 30 to 40 minutes. We have done over 200 of these calls, and the most common mistake is forgetting to measure the desk height relative to the child's elbow. That single detail changes the recommendation for the FlexiDesk Pro tilt range.
If you are unsure which format fits, start with the measurement sheet anyway. It is free, and it gives you a clear picture of your space. You can always upgrade to a home visit later if the measurements reveal something unexpected.
We do not charge for the initial measurement sheet or the first video call. If you decide to proceed with a home visit, the cost is deducted from your first purchase. The goal is to match the format to your situation, not to sell you a service you do not need.
